Spritzer Sparkling's Rasa Light Je Goes Easy on You
The end of the year has a way of turning into a checklist: hit the targets, tidy the house, be a better version of yourself by January. Spritzer Sparkling's latest campaign pushes back on that quietly. Called Rasa Light Je, roughly "go light on yourself", it asks Malaysians to stop piling pressure on themselves and to treat looking after their wellbeing as something small and doable rather than one more thing to get perfect.
The campaign is fronted by Spritzer ambassador Aedy Ashraf and launched in Kuala Lumpur on 29 October 2026. At its centre is a microsite of nine short films, each built around an everyday situation many people will recognise, from the stressful, self-doubting moments to the small chances we get to be kinder to ourselves. The thread running through all of them is the same: good habits are easier to keep when they are realistic and light, not when they demand a complete lifestyle overhaul.
Rasa Light Je: small choices, not a big reset
That framing is where Rasa Light Je is trying to separate itself from the usual year-end wellness noise. Rather than a dramatic challenge, it leans on the idea that consistency comes from choices that fit into an ordinary day without adding stress. "Sometimes we just need to take one light step, or spare a little time for ourselves, to feel calmer, happier and more positive," said Shiao Chan, Spritzer's Head of Marketing, summing up the tone the campaign is going for.
It is a message that sits comfortably next to a growing local interest in gentler, more sustainable wellbeing, the same instinct behind community events like this women's wellness festival in KL and health-focused sessions such as this Pink October women's health talk. The common thread is practical and unintimidating rather than aspirational.
Where the drink fits in
The product doing the talking is Spritzer Sparkling, a carbonated natural mineral water with no added sugar or sweeteners. It comes in three flavours, Classic, Lemon, and Sea salt & Citron, and the campaign positions it as an easy swap for heavier, sweeter drinks through the day rather than a wellness cure in itself. For anyone trying to cut back on sugar without giving up a bit of fizz, that is a fair enough pitch.
Spritzer is familiar ground for most Malaysian shoppers. The brand has been around since 1989 and draws its mineral water from a protected aquifer in the forested hills of Taiping, Perak, which is part of why it tends to show up as a default bottle on shelves nationwide.
The takeaway
Rasa Light Je is a seasonal campaign with a simple idea at the core: you do not have to earn rest, and wellbeing does not have to be complicated. Whether or not a sparkling water changes anyone's routine, the nudge to go a little easier on yourself heading into the new year is one plenty of Malaysians could probably use.
