Pink October Afternoon Tea at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur
October turns a little pink at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, where the hotel is marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a Pink October Afternoon Tea served high above the city at Torito on Level 53. It is an afternoon built to linger over, and one where part of what you spend goes to a good cause.
What is on the stand
The spread brings together two sides of the same kitchen. The savouries come from Torito's Peruvian Japanese character, created by Chef de Cuisine Sergio Porras, while the sweets are the work of Tony Hoyle, Executive Pastry Chef at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, who leans into the season with a run of delicate pink-hued desserts. The result is a tiered tea that moves from vibrant, savoury bites to soft, rosy pastries, the kind of table made for sharing with family and friends.
Pink with purpose
The purpose in the name is literal. A portion of the proceeds from every Pink October Afternoon Tea goes to the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), supporting its community work around cancer awareness and care. It is an easy way to fold a small donation into something you were going to enjoy anyway.
When to go, and what it costs
The Pink October Afternoon Tea is available throughout October at Torito, Level 53, priced at RM110 nett per person and served daily from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
