Aloft Langkawi Turns Halloween Into Ward 13
If your Halloween plans usually amount to a costume and nowhere to wear it, Aloft by Marriott Langkawi Pantai Tengah has built a full evening around the night. On Saturday, 31 October 2026, the Pantai Tengah hotel turns into Ward 13, a haunted-hospital themed Halloween event that runs in two parts: a themed dinner buffet, then a late-night party at the bar. Here is what it costs and what you actually get.
Act one: the haunted hospital buffet
The evening starts at Nook, the hotel's all-day restaurant, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. The room is dressed up for Halloween and the spread leans into the theme, with savoury dishes, themed creations and desserts. Drinks are unlimited across the buffet, with alcoholic beverages, sparkling drinks, juices and soft drinks all included in the price.
Buffet pricing is per person, nett:
- Adults: RM148
- Senior citizens: RM104
- Children: RM74
There are a couple of ways to bring that down. Marriott Bonvoy members and Langkawi residents get 20% off the adult price, and Maybank or Affin Bank credit cardholders get 15% off. Both offers apply to adult diners.
Act two: the party at W XYZ Bar
When dinner wraps, the night moves to W XYZ Bar from 9:30pm to midnight for Live@Aloft. The bar is done up as the Ward 13 corridors, with hospital-themed décor, music, entertainment and a costume competition you enter by dressing up and buying a drink.
The bar has built two drinks for the night. Type O-Negative (RM29 nett) is a cocktail served from a blood-donor-style IV bag, mixing Absolut vodka with cherry, cranberry and lime juice and ginger ale. Cough Elixir (RM25 nett) is the non-alcoholic option, a mocktail of cherry and pomegranate juice, ginger ale and star anise syrup, served in test tubes packed into a medical cooler. Both are built to be photographed as much as drunk.
Make a night of it
For anyone travelling in, there is a Haunted Hospital Getaway Room Package covering a stay from 31 October to 1 November 2026 with the Ward 13 buffet dinner included, so you can head upstairs instead of driving home after the party. That turns a single event into a short island break, which is the more sensible plan if you are coming from the mainland.
Themed hotel nights like this have become a regular fixture on the Malaysian dining calendar. Over in the city, Kimpton Kuala Lumpur's Naluria ran its own October dining programme, and M Social Resort Penang spent the month on a Pink October campaign tied to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Aloft's is the Halloween entry, and a Langkawi one at that.
