If you are in Singapore this weekend and you love ice cream, 19 July is worth marking. For National Ice Cream Day, Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) is opening its outdoor Dessert Bar and Cafe to the public, with free entry, a free cone for every guest, and free run of its outdoor Sprinkle Pool for the day.
What is happening
The celebration runs from 10am to 6pm on 19 July. For this one day, entry to MOIC’s outdoor Dessert Bar and Cafe is free, and every guest who comes through gets a complimentary ice cream cone. The space is pet friendly, so you can bring your dog along for the party.
One note worth reading before you go: the free entry applies to the outdoor Dessert Bar and Cafe only, not the full indoor museum experience.
The Sprinkle Pool, out in the open
MOIC’s Sprinkle Pool is usually one of the main draws inside. For National Ice Cream Day, it comes to the outdoor Dessert Bar and Cafe free of charge, turning the area into a bright, playful setting that is made for photos. Every guest enters free and leaves with a cone.
A giveaway for the fans
The party carries on online. MOIC is running an Instagram giveaway: follow @museumoficecreamsg, comment with your favourite ice cream shop, and you could win one of four MOIC Annual Memberships worth S$248 each. A membership covers unlimited visits and member benefits for a year.
Worth knowing
Free ice cream, a Sprinkle Pool you can enjoy at no cost, and a chance at a year of unlimited visits: for anyone who has been meaning to check out Museum of Ice Cream, National Ice Cream Day on 19 July is an easy reason to finally go. Grab a friend or bring the family, and get there within the 10am to 6pm window.
