Estee Lauder's New Advanced Night Repair Essence Borrows From Clinic Exosome Therapy
Estee Lauder has added an essence to the Advanced Night Repair line, and the interesting part is where it says the idea came from: exosome therapy, the post-procedure treatment dermatologists use in clinic to speed up healing.
The Advanced Night Repair Recovery Treatment Essence is out now in Malaysia at RM465 for 200ml and RM280 for 100ml, sold at Estee Lauder counters nationwide, Sephora, Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.
What is actually in it
Estee Lauder calls this its first treatment essence built on Bio-Exosome Technology, derived from Centella Asiatica and carrying what the brand describes as over 500 bio-diverse peptides. That sits alongside Tripeptide-32, the patented peptide already familiar from the rest of the Advanced Night Repair range.
The reasoning goes like this. Exosomes act as micro-messengers, carrying peptides, amino acids and micro-RNA between cells, which is why clinics use exosome treatments to speed recovery after a procedure. The essence is an attempt to borrow that mechanism for a nightly step rather than a clinical one.
The claims, and whose they are
These are the brand's figures rather than ours, and they are worth reading as claims rather than findings. Estee Lauder lists six benefits: stronger barrier resilience, reduced irritation and redness, more elastic skin overnight, firmer skin in two weeks, more even tone, and fewer visible fine lines in one week.
The company also positions it as gentle enough for daily use before or after a procedure, and designed to layer into the wider ANR Recovery Regimen rather than replace anything in it.
An essence is a thin, watery step that goes on after cleansing and before serum, so in practice this is an addition to a routine, not a swap. At RM280 for the smaller bottle, that is the thing worth weighing: whether you want another step, and whether your skin is actually short of one.
