Navigator of the Seas Debuts in Singapore, Sails to Penang
Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas sailed into Singapore this week, marking the cruise line's Asia debut and the start of a year-long season of getaways from the Garden City through October 2027. For Malaysian travellers, it means one of the region's biggest floating resorts is now homeported a short hop away, with itineraries that call at Penang and Langkawi.

Short getaways to Penang, Langkawi and Phuket
From its Singapore homeport, Navigator offers 2 to 5 night getaways across Southeast Asia. Travellers can wander the heritage streets and hawker scene of Penang, unwind on the beaches of Langkawi, or cross over to Phuket in Thailand, all without a long-haul flight to catch the ship. For those with more time, there is a 10-night run to Thailand and Vietnam that stops in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang with an overnight in Bangkok, and a 12-night voyage between Singapore and Tokyo taking in Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
"Navigator of the Seas' arrival in Singapore marks a game-changing moment for Royal Caribbean, making it easier for vacationers to discover more of Asia from one convenient homeport," said Ben Bouldin, President of Greater China and Managing Director Asia at Royal Caribbean. The full season and sailing calendar is on the Royal Caribbean press centre.
What is onboard
Navigator of the Seas is a 139,999 gross-tonne ship spread over 15 decks, with room for 3,368 guests at double occupancy. The top deck is built for thrill-seekers: The Blaster and Riptide waterslides, a FlowRider surf simulator, a rock-climbing wall and mini golf. Families get Battle for Planet Z laser tag, the Royal Escape Room and the Splashaway Bay aquapark for younger kids.

Dining runs from casual to special-occasion. There is Japanese-inspired fare at Izumi, Italian classics at Jamie's Italian and fresh seafood at Hooked, alongside Chops Grille and the Chef's Table for a longer evening. When the sun goes down, there are live shows at the Royal Theater, cocktails at The Bamboo Room, and the easy, tropical buzz of The Lime and Coconut.
