New on Netflix Malaysia: October 2026 Lineup
Malaysian streaming nights get busy in October. Netflix has confirmed its lineup for the month, and it leans heavily into anime, backed by returning drama series, a run of thrillers, and two documentaries about very different sporting legends. Here is what is landing and when, so you can plan your watchlist.
Anime leads the month
The anime slate opens on 1 October with The Ramparts of Ice: Season 2, which picks up Koyuki, Minato, Miki and Yota's tangled story of shifting feelings and strained friendships. On 4 October, Blue Box: Season 2 returns, following Taiki and Chinatsu as they balance growing feelings with fierce sporting competition. Ranma1/2 also comes back for its third season, bringing more rivals and chaotic schemes for Ranma and Akane.
Later in the month, My Happy Marriage: Season 2 Special Episodes arrives on 25 October. It continues the story of Miyo Saimori, who was mistreated by her family for being born without supernatural powers and begins to find her strength after meeting Kiyoka Kudo. New sagas and returning favourites
Two fresh titles anchor the drama side. East of Eden premieres on 1 October, a generational saga of family, ambition and rivalry. Animals follows on 9 October, tracking a couple racing against the clock after their son is kidnapped.
Fans of ongoing series have three returns to mark. The Diplomat: Season 4 arrives on 15 October, Nobody Wants This: Season 3 on 22 October, and Lupin: Season 4 on 23 October, bringing Assane Diop back for another round of schemes. There is romance too: Doing Life premieres on 2 October with a bond built through letters, Take Charge of My Heart adds a touch of sci-fi on 9 October, and Did Someone Happen to Mention Me? lands on 22 October with a story of ambition and starting over.
Thrillers and a darker turn
October also carries a run of darker stories. Below premieres on 8 October, followed by Balaraw: Blood Island and Black Bag, both on 29 October, closing the month on mystery and tension.
Two sporting legends in focus
The documentary picks tell two very different stories. Schumacher '94: The Birth of a Legend arrives on 2 October, revisiting Michael Schumacher's first Formula 1 World Championship. TYSON follows on 13 October, a four-part look at the life and career of the boxer Mike Tyson.
