Netflix's New Anime Slate: 4 Titles and Their Dates
Malaysian anime fans finally have real dates to circle. Netflix has laid out its new anime slate, a run of titles stretching from late September into early 2027, and the lineup covers a lot of ground: a cyberpunk sequel, a LEGO take on One Piece, the return of a breakout samurai series, and a fresh sci-fi original.
The slate was unveiled at Anime NYC, and four titles now have confirmed release windows. Here is what is coming and when.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 arrives 20 October
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 lands on Netflix on 20 October 2026. It tells a new standalone story set in Night City, the same world as the Cyberpunk 2077 game and the 2022 series that introduced many viewers to the setting. Netflix released a first trailer alongside the date, and you do not need to have finished the game or the first season to follow it.
LEGO ONE PIECE and Blue Eye Samurai
Before that, LEGO ONE PIECE brings the Straw Hat crew to Netflix as a two-part special event on 29 September 2026. A new trailer hands narration duties to Usopp, and the tone leans into the playful, brick-built humour you would expect from a LEGO crossover.
Blue Eye Samurai, the animated revenge story of Mizu, a mixed-race swordfighter in Edo-era Japan, returns for its second season in a January 2027 window. Netflix has also confirmed a third season is on the way, so the story is set to run well beyond this next chapter.

Fool Night rounds out the Netflix anime slate
The newest name here is Fool Night, an original sci-fi series premiering worldwide on 26 November 2026. It comes from two well-known studios, Sunrise and Shaft, working together for the first time, with Atsushi Yukawa directing. The series adapts Kasumi Yasuda's manga and is set in a dystopian future.
Why it matters for Malaysian anime fans
All four titles stream on Netflix, which means they reach subscribers in Malaysia on release, with no separate platform or import to sort out. Between LEGO ONE PIECE in September, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 in October, Fool Night in November and Blue Eye Samurai in the new year, there is a steady run of anime to look forward to across the next few months.
If you want a sense of what else is landing in the meantime, our monthly guide to what is new on Netflix Malaysia tracks the wider catalogue, and Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is already streaming for anyone who wants something to watch right now.
Mark the dates, and you are set from now through to 2027.
