RIMOWA Takes Its Never Still Bags Through Bangkok With Four Thai Stars
RIMOWA has released new imagery for its Never Still collection, and this time the German maison has taken its leather bags out of the studio and onto the streets of Bangkok, worn by four Thai talents: Teetee, Por, Jes and Toey.
Never Still is RIMOWA's line of leather goods, the softer counterpart to the grooved aluminium suitcases the house is known for. The new pictures put the two side by side: structured leather backpacks in black, taupe and grey, resting against or carried alongside the polished aluminium and matte polycarbonate cases that made the brand's name.
The setting is the point. Rather than a clean studio, the campaign places its models against glass-brick walls, street-food carts and tiled five-foot-ways, a nod to the collection's name and to the idea of luggage that is meant to move rather than sit in a wardrobe. The styling stays quietly modern, wide trousers and denim, letting the bags carry the frame.
RIMOWA, the German maison now part of the LVMH group, has spent recent years widening beyond the suitcase into everyday carry, and Never Still is the clearest expression of that shift. This Bangkok imagery is a regional push for the line, fronted by faces its Thai audience will know well.
