RIMOWA built its name on grooved aluminium suitcases, the kind you spot rolling through an airport before you can read the logo. Its latest release keeps the material and the craft but swaps the departure gate for the living room: a limited-edition Dartboard Case, made for a night of darts rather than a flight.
An aluminium darts cabinet, RIMOWA style
Crafted in Cologne, the RIMOWA Dartboard Case in Silver follows the shape of a traditional wall-mounted darts cabinet, then rebuilds it in the brand’s signature aluminium. It uses a double-door construction, a first for RIMOWA, so the case opens out to reveal the board and closes flat against the wall with a clean profile. The design leans on the label’s Classic collection: grooved aluminium panels, polished custom latch locks, double door frames held with plane-engraved rivets, and a black leather handle for carrying it by hand.

Made with the darts specialists
For the parts that matter to players, RIMOWA worked with Winmau, the official dartboard supplier to the Professional Darts Corporation. The case houses a Winmau Blade X board wrapped in black microfibre, with the interior finished in a light grey palette to match the aluminium shell. The board itself carries a co-branded RIMOWA and Winmau design.
Each door holds a professional dart set, three per side, with RIMOWA-branded black shafts and red and green flights carrying the maison’s monogram in a two-tone finish. A leather pouch rounds out the kit, with room for spare parts so the set travels ready to play, whether at home or away.
A Walton Goggins campaign shot in the factory
The launch comes with a short film directed by Gregoire Dyer and shot at RIMOWA’s historic Cologne factory. It stars American actor Walton Goggins as a security guard on his Sunday shift, killing time during his football team’s match. He wanders the archive, finds the aluminium case, and starts throwing darts, convinced that hitting the bullseye will swing the game his way. It is a light, cinematic way to introduce a product that sits somewhere between luggage, sports equipment and collector’s piece.
Price and availability
The RIMOWA Dartboard Case in Silver carries a recommended retail price of MYR 31,150. It goes on sale from 30 July 2026, available exclusively at select RIMOWA stores worldwide. As a limited-edition specialty piece, it is aimed at collectors and fans of the brand rather than the casual buyer.
The takeaway
Darts has grown into a precision-driven sport in recent years, and RIMOWA has taken that cue to turn a pub-corner fixture into a design object. Whether or not you play, the Dartboard Case is a clear sign of how far the maison is willing to stretch its aluminium beyond travel.
