Coway Opens Its First BEREX Store at Ombak KLCC Mall
Shopping for a water purifier or a mattress usually means squinting at spec sheets under bright retail lights. Coway is taking a softer approach. The brand has opened its first Coway BEREX Store in Southeast Asia at Ombak KLCC Mall, and it is set up less like a showroom and more like a walk-through home.
The concept store gathers Coway's BEREX sleep and wellness range alongside the wider portfolio the brand is known for in Malaysia, spanning air, water, sleep and home comfort. Rather than lining products up by category, the space arranges them into curated, home-style settings so visitors can sit, touch and test how each piece might feel in their own living room or bedroom.
What "Unlock Better Living" looks like in person
The store runs on the theme "Unlock Better Living", and Coway has leaned into it with a few interactive corners. There is an "Unlock the Chest" challenge and a Coway Home-Key Studio where guests make a small personalised keepsake, both designed to get people exploring rather than just browsing. It is a familiar play for experiential retail, and here it is pointed at making wellness feel like an everyday choice instead of an occasional treat.
BEREX started as Coway's sleep and wellness line. With this opening, the name now doubles as the label for Coway's more design-led retail experience, pulling its massage and sleep products together with purifiers and other home solutions under one roof.
"Better living is not defined by aesthetics alone. It is also about creating a home that supports how we rest, recover and feel every day," said Janice Tan, Group Manager of Marketing Division at Coway Malaysia, at the opening.
Why it matters for KL shoppers
Coway has been in Malaysia for 20 years, and a concept store on this scale is a sign of how much the home-wellness category has grown here, from water filtration to air purifiers and sleep tech. For anyone who has only met these products through a sales agent or a mall roadshow booth, a permanent space to try them before signing up to a plan is a real shift.
It also fits a wider pattern from the brand this year. Coway marked its two decades in the market by rolling out its first refrigerator series, pushing further into whole-home living rather than sticking to its purifier roots.
The Coway BEREX Store is open now at Ombak KLCC Mall in Kuala Lumpur. More on the range is at Coway Malaysia.
