Montblanc has added a new chapter to one of its best known men’s fragrances. Legend Elixir is the latest addition to the Legend collection, and it arrives as the first Parfum concentration the line has ever had, its richest version to date.
A deeper, warmer Legend
Where the original Legend Eau de Toilette is fresh and easygoing, Legend Elixir leans into warmth and depth. It was composed by master perfumers Antoine Maisondieu and Guillaume Flavigny as a Fougere Ambery scent, built around vanilla and iris at its heart.
The jump to a Parfum concentration also changes how the scent behaves. A higher share of fragrance oils usually means a richer opening and a trail that stays closer to the skin and lasts longer through the day, which is the brief Montblanc set for this release.
The opening is bright, with bergamot and lavender lifted by a touch of pink peppercorn, a nod to the Legend Eau de Toilette that regular wearers will recognise. From there it settles into a heart of German iris, clary sage and Pomarose, before a base of Vanilla Absolu Madagascar, Ambrofix and warm resins gives it a long, lingering finish.
A silver bottle to match
The fragrance comes in the familiar Legend flask, reworked here in a glossy silver lacquer. The bottle keeps its embossed wave pattern and a grained, leather-like finish, and the silver echoes a colour Montblanc uses across its pens, watches and leather goods.
The face of the campaign
Simon Clark returns as the face of Legend Elixir, continuing his long run as the Montblanc man across earlier Legend releases. The campaign imagery is by renowned photographer Peter Lindbergh.
When can you get it in Malaysia?
The announcement came through Montblanc’s regional press channels, and a Malaysian retail price and on-sale date have not been confirmed yet. Fragrance fans here will want to watch Montblanc boutiques and department store counters for local availability. We will update this story once Malaysian details are shared.
