Luckin Coffee Teams Up With Garfield for Four New Lattes
If your October to-do list could use a pause, Luckin Coffee Malaysia has a reason to take one. The chain is teaming up with Garfield, the famously laid-back cartoon cat, for a two-part collaboration that runs through October and November, built around four dessert-inspired seasonal lattes, co-branded packaging and a run of limited-edition merchandise.
The campaign leans into Garfield's whole personality, which is to say doing as little as possible as comfortably as possible. Luckin has split it into two phases, each with its own mood and its own pair of drinks.
Phase one: Just Chillin' with Luckin
The first phase opens on 15 October with the Creme Brulee Latte, a mix of vanilla aroma, espresso, velvety cream and a caramel drizzle meant to echo the torched-sugar dessert. It is joined on 30 October by the Tiramisu Latte, described as tiramisu in a cup, with cocoa notes, soft milk foam and a dusting of cocoa powder on top.
Phase two: Cattitude ON
The second phase arrives on 13 November with the return of the Toffee Hazelnut Latte, pairing caramelised toffee with toasted hazelnut. The lineup closes on 27 November with an all-new Black Sesame Hojicha Latte, which layers black sesame, roasted hojicha tea and a touch of sea salt for something a little less sweet than the rest.
The collectibles
Beyond the cups, the collaboration comes with co-branded packaging and a set of Garfield collectibles for fans who want to take the theme home. The list includes a two-in-one pillow blanket, plush pouches, magnetic monitor memo boards and magnetic collectibles. Luckin has said the launch dates for each piece will be announced on its Malaysian social media channels, so timing will matter for anyone chasing a specific item.
It is the latest in a steady run of seasonal drops from the chain, which has been expanding quickly across the country. Earlier this year it passed 120 outlets and pushed into the south, and it marked Merdeka with a themed local campaign of its own. The Garfield drinks are available while stocks last at participating outlets, with the first two landing on 15 and 30 October.
