The record-breaking anime film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is now streaming on Netflix in Malaysia, giving fans a chance to watch the latest chapter at home after its run in cinemas.

The film has landed on Netflix across 23 markets in Asia-Pacific, including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. It arrives after a theatrical run in which it became the highest-grossing anime film ever released globally, and it set national box office records as the highest-grossing anime film in Thailand and the biggest-grossing Japanese anime film of all time in the Philippines and Indonesia.
What the Infinity Castle arc is about
The Infinity Castle storyline has been one of the most anticipated arcs among Demon Slayer fans. As the Demon Slayer Corps and the Hashira prepare for their final battle, the demon lord Muzan Kibutsuji attacks the Ubuyashiki Mansion. Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to defend it, only to be pulled down into a mysterious space: the demons’ stronghold known as the Infinity Castle. There, the decisive fight between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons begins.
The film is directed by Haruo Sotozaki, with the screenplay and animation produced by ufotable, based on the original manga by Koyoharu Gotoge.
New to Demon Slayer?
Viewers who want to catch up first can stream all five seasons of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, along with the earlier feature Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, on Netflix in select markets. The series first premiered in April 2019 and follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young demon slayer searching for a way to turn his sister Nezuko back into a human.
Anime continues to draw a wide audience on the platform. Netflix says more than half of its members have watched at least one anime title, with series such as Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Game Part 1 holding Malaysia’s weekly Top 10 for 13 consecutive weeks.
