Over the weekend, we hosted our very first OPPO photography workshop — and what started as a simple hands-on session turned into one of the most wholesome events we’ve ever run.
Held inside the cosy, industrial corners of 2046 Café, the workshop welcomed a diverse group of 30 participants. We had students, young creatives, hobbyists, and even a few curious first-timers who just wanted to learn how to take better photos. The mix of ages and backgrounds made the energy feel fresh, open, and incredibly supportive.
The session kicked off with a quick introduction to OPPO’s camera settings, guided by our team… and with me as the model. As someone who’s naturally shy, standing in front of 30 lenses was definitely nerve-wracking at first — but the group’s warmth made it easy to settle in. Soon, everyone was experimenting with angles, lighting, portrait modes, and getting more confident with their shots.
2046 Café kept everyone fuelled with a delicious lunch spread, which honestly became its own mini moment — the room went quiet for a while because everyone was too busy enjoying the food.
By the end of the workshop, participants were snapping confidently, sharing tips with each other, and comparing their favourite shots of the day. What started as nerves turned into a genuinely fun and creative experience for all of us.
