Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport BUKIT BINTANG CITY CENTRE has opened an exciting venture that has touched the retail environment in this city with an alluring redevelopment that blends the unique culture of Japan with the urban aesthetic design. This is the first outlet concept in Malaysia to be located within the city center. Mitsui Outlet Park Bukit Bintang City Centre is a new addition to the renewal. Some of the other features include the exclusive launch of Japanese brands, a Japanese game and entertainment center, and a special pop-culture zone known as the ACG BASE introduction, all located in one mall.

A City-Centre Outlet Shopping Revolution
The highlight of this renewal will be the Mitsui Outlet Park BBCC, an exciting new concept forming part of the world in the middle of Kuala Lumpur. The outlet mall is situated on Level 3 and offers more than 30 fashion, sports, and lifestyle brands such as adidas, GEOX, Skechers, Superdry, and Under Armour, among others, with outlet prices without the long drive out of the city.
This innovative approach brings together convenience and affordability, tailored for modern, urban shoppers who crave stylish finds at value prices within the city centre.
In line with LaLaport BBCC’s Japanese DNA, the mall welcomes several exclusive Japanese brands to Malaysia for the first time. These include:
REGAL

GLOBAL WORK

earth music&ecology

Over Print

3COINS

These brands, offering refined design, craftsmanship and quality, reflect Japan’s contemporary aesthetic and are available only at LaLaport BBCC.
More Than Shopping: A Playground for Pop Culture and Family Fun
LaLaport BBCC is also becoming one of the leading entertainment spots. Molly Fantasy, a Japanese amusement arcade has replaced Level 4 which holds one of the largest Pokémon Mezastar Stadiums in Malaysia and the first Taiko no Tatsujin Dojo a very popular rhythm game at its arcades.

Meanwhile, Level 2 is becoming ACG BASE, a gigantic precinct devoted to anime, comics and games. The future opening of the permanent Animate store as well as the first Animate Café in Malaysia will be a revelation to pop culture fans. They also got themed retail and dining on the territory like Dimension Pop Town, The Pink Room, Doko Koko, K+ by Kadokawa Gempak Starz, etc. which makes LaLaport BBCC the place of fans and collectors.
Travel Made Easier with LaLaport Transportation Hub
In August, LaLaport BBCC will open the LaLaport Transportation Hub (LTH), which will serve travelers and visitors. The facility would connect well-known KL neighborhoods, including Bukit Bintang and Mont Kiara, with a ride-share shuttle dubbed LaLaport mobi, as well as bus connections to Singapore and Thailand and shuttle transfers to KLIA and Subang Airport.
The LTH, which was created in collaboration with Semba Corporation of Japan and is run by ASR, combines comfort and functionality while providing seamless connection and special travel benefits like the Tourist Privilege program, which offers discounts at partner retailers.
What’s Next?
This revitalisation marks just the beginning of an exciting new chapter. More openings and events are planned through the end of 2025. Shoppers can expect grand launch promotions, exclusive merchandise, lucky draws worth up to RM70,000, and special discounts across new and existing stores.
Since its opening in January 2022, LaLaport BBCC has stood out as Southeast Asia’s first Mitsui Fudosan LaLaport, bringing over 400 Japanese-inspired retail and lifestyle outlets under one roof. With this fresh evolution, the mall reaffirms its role as a pioneering lifestyle and retail destination in Kuala Lumpur.
